Made for my friend’s birthday as a card. (there was text on a separate layer)  He loves Little Nemo, so I inserted his characters into the respective roles from the movie/comic.

Last old thing I’m posting.  This actually isn’t my original design and I really wish I could credit the original artist.  Basically the below design is what I worked off as a t-shirt design from the first No More Heroes game (Wii).  I loved this design so much I wanted to find a way to get a clean version of it, independently.  I went as far as contacting the Ubisoft message boards (the publishers of No More Heroes in the United States) to find out who the original artist was so I could ask for their permission to create a clean version of this design.  They were unable to find out and to this day all I know is the designer is someone from Japan who won as part of a contest in Famitsu magazine. (this is the only information given about the shirt in the actual game)

Because I made this design before I had Photoshop, and because I thought it’d be a neat idea, I decided to go with the pixel sprite approach instead of a basic straight up clean illustration of the watermelon guy.  Also the simplification of making it in pixel form helps since a lot of the details from the original design are blurred out from being a t-shirt design within a videogame.

One of the first things I drew with new Wacom tablet last fall.  Tekkon Kinkreet is awesome.
